Both C# and Go have their benefits and drawbacks. The question of which one to use comes down to what you need your solution to accomplish. You also need to consider the application's operating environment.

If your solution needs to integrate with other C# solutions, then writing it in Go may not be ideal unless there is a strategic intent to move onto that technology platform. Depending on the type of application you are writing, Go may limit what you can do with the platform natively.
