Booky is a contemporary bookstore with several branches across Nigeria. Gideon designed an application for Booky which offered a cost-effective way for book-lovers to buy or rent physical books. Gideon performed a market analysis of competitors that offer similar services, as well as an audience analysis to understand user needs.
Using the Booky app, customers are able to: search and find available books; buy or rent books depending on budget; rent or sell out own books to make money; get book delivery and pickup; easily sign-up for a book purchase waitlist for unavailable books.
Africariyoki is an online platform that engages users with popular song instrumentals to sing along to or play as games. Gideon did an aesthetic upgrade of the original interface and created a more consistent user experience. This required a re-design that kept the core elements and features of the previous design, with clarity in navigation and accessibility and a consistent and interactive interface.
Gideon is a Medium contributor, having published several articles on design and design systems. His articles are intended for front-end developers, product designers, and tech enthusiasts, with whom he shares his insight into design software and advices coming from his own experience as a product designer.
