Worked on a large legacy codebase to improve existing features and develop new ones using both Java and Kotlin with support for API levels 15 and higher.
Redesigned the architecture of the app to bring substantial improvements in most areas including stability and performance of old features, reduced battery usage, reduced complexity and time required for implementing new features.
Developed unit tests for both new and old features, refactoring old ones where unit testing was not possible. Managed Play Store updates (sequential rollouts) and monitored developer console and firebase crashlytics for crashes and ANRs.

Everli is one of the main European e-grocery marketplaces, with over 250.000 users for the Android app. Everli was founded in 2014 with the aim of making grocery shopping simple, fast and convenient. Clients choose their favorite supermarket and do their grocery online: then, a personal shopper goes to the store to carefully make the grocery and deliver it straight at home. My main responsibilities were to maintain and develop new features for the Everli app. I also assisted in launching the app in two new countries and worked to improve the overall architecture.
This was an internal start-up project inside the global leader in cybersecurity, Bitdefender. I managed the research and development of the next generation of mobile parental control suites with a great focus on the native android component of the system. Bitdefender Parental Control is designed to work on all major platforms, parents can select the content categories they want to keep away from their children from a predefined list. They can also manually allow or block certain URLs.
This project is a small tool I created for myself to help clean up the mess of auto-downloaded photos. Unclutter keeps track of new files in your gallery and allows you to quickly decide which ones to keep and which should be removed by swiping through them using a simple and intuitive user interface. Unclutter always shows you only new files that you've not yet made up your mind on, so you know exactly how many files are left and you can be sure that your gallery is in order. The app also helps to avoid long clean-up sessions by notifying you when a certain threshold of new files has been exceeded. Frequent but short clean-up sessions work best.
