Senior System and Database Manager - CUNY ASAP Data Management System

The ASAP Data Management System project was a complete rebuild of the operations of the current system; correcting the flaws and defects with better data discovery, automation, and support on the Tableau server for researchers and data analyst. Led a team of four on the project; recreating the main source of data input, finding the right dimensions, speed of change and allowing ASAP data culture to flourish. Redesigned the data model - understanding what was working, what data was loaded from other sources and the sections created by users using ETL updates and new integration points. Developed the databases on the project, its objects and the data workflow to move data from distributed systems - adhering to best practices and advocating alternative approaches when needed.
