The project is about the second-largest SMS and IVR marketing service in Pakistan, with average termination of about 30-50 million SMS per month. I acted as a product/project manager and had the responsibility of handling all day-to-day operations and new projects in the existing service. I managed a team of 5 customer support representatives, 2 software developers, 2 IT operations executives, and 2 shared QA resources. The project was a continuous one for a two-year period where we worked on adding new features, incorporating a new UI, and improving existing features on two to four-week iterations.
The project is ongoing and the website is under-development. It is about a specialized course with a target market of 3.5 million students a year. I acted as a project manager responsible for writing project documents, hiring content writers and developers, and managing end-to-end project activities, including but not limited to estimating budget and schedule for each activity and understanding the dependencies and non-dependencies, researching, inspecting tools for integration with the website, payment gateways availability by country, etc. I am currently working with a team of designers and developers working on creating the website's frontend and backend according to the scope document. Also, various themes and plugins are being used by them.
MAD (Mobile Advertisement) is a customized messaging marketing automation platform on which subscriber lists and campaigns are generated and formatted as per the clients' requirements (Gender, Location, Mask, Content, ARPU, etc.), and execution is performed internally. I acted as a project manager to incorporate this platform's new UI on which campaigns could be locked by the clients and resellers directly rather than manually sending the details to the execution team over email. The project was developed and shipped in 8 months from initiation to closing. I then took over the operations of this service as a product manager to manage day-to-day operations and get the additional features developed within the platform in iterations.
