Cristian is a driven software engineer with 3+ years of experience using Golang in personal and company projects. Highly-proactive and a fast learner, he finds value in enhancing abilities through continuous learning and contributing to large projects. He has hands-on experience developing a cloud-based IoT platform, an e-commerce order management system, and points of interests microservices among other projects.
Led a cross functional team of 8 people to develop a microservices-based platform for a car workshop management service.
Worked on the development of features in Go and JavaScript (React), as well as the DevOps platform using Kuberenetes, Bitbucket pipelines, Terraform, and Google Cloud.
Deployed and maintained CI/CD workflows, Kubernetes clusters, and real-time monitoring services.
The project was an IoT cloud platform device that manufacturers could use to transform their devices into connected IoT devices. Main features include User/Device management, reporting, device control via personal assistants (Alexa, Google assistant). My role included developing the alerting and reporting features of the platform, setting up and managing the Kubernetes infrastructure, as well as various smaller features of the platform both on the Python backend and Javascript/React frontend.
The project was a points of interests service for an automotive industry startup offering B2C services aimed at drivers and B2B cloud solutions aimed at gas stations and automakers. The POI service was the primary data source used in their cloud platform serving information about gas stations and speed cameras across Europe. I was involved with the service since its inception and worked on multiple data gathering workers, data processing tools, and API services using Go for the implementation. I also had a DevOps role on the team managing the Kubernetes infrastructure, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the uptime of the service.
The project was a workshop management service enabling the management of workshops, the offering of services across workshops, and by integrating a car data API from a third party also automating car service appointments in the process. Worked as a Full-stack tech lead for 9 months on a team of 8 people implementing backend services in Go, front-end features in React, and infrastructure features on GCP - managing ci/cd pipelines, DevOps automation, and Kubernetes clusters.
