I am a Software Engineer with a focus on backend development; working with modern programming languages for the design and development of solutions on projects through all facets of the product lifecycle - from pitching new ideas to building and scaling solutions out to end-users. I know the ins-and-outs of modern development processes, writing and maintaining new solutions, and learning new skills for the delivery of highly efficient and performant solutions on projects.
Created, tested, and implemented custom solutions and adhered to clients requirements and analysis using knowledge in different Software Development Life Cycle models on projects for clients.
Resolved a variety of high impact problems on projects for clients; using in-depth evaluation of complex system processes and application industry best practices in delivering remedies.
Became proficient with the programming tools necessary to develop apps, user interface, and database design solutions; staying abreast of technological advancements and changes within the industry.
Provided engineering and technical support for Cactus' Node.js-based API solution; optimizing preexisting areas of the codebase to meet stricter performance requirements.
Proposed software modifications to the solution for Cactus; migrating data from a legacy system to a new solution; implementing client-specific implement project customizations and configurations.
Built a productive relationship with the client on the project; conducting design and code reviews, daily scrums, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies where necessary.
Worked on an innovative app for Urano - an Argentina-based book publisher. The app was built and deployed onto a touchscreen TV at Urano's stand during the 2019 Buenos Aires Book Fair. The app quizzed attendees on certain topics, and gave recommendations for books that fit their tastes; using a set of rules gathered, analyzed and established with the publisher for the solution. The backend handled the generation and validation of discount coupons for attendees; through user-specific emails provided on the app. Fixed bugs and recovered missing coupons on the solution. It was used during the 2019 Book Fair (April 22 - May 13).
Developed a new solution for the generation of reports based on information retrieved from one of the internal APIs of an Argentinian bank. Built the reporting module on the project; by shifting report generation to off-hours with caching which improved client-facing response time, parallelized report generation - decoupling it from the display and improving performance by reducing query overlay during data retrieval. The solution was deployed and is currently in use.
CAFCI consists of a list of associates (mainly banks and other investment associations) that educate and provide information on investment funds in Argentina. Worked on the redesign of CAFCI's website and implemented a new API to ingest information from associates (on their investment funds with CAFCI). Migrated historical data on the old database onto the new system - with a custom desktop app for that served as a stop-gap solution on the project for associates, until they could implement in-house integrations with the new API. Built a custom CMS solution to help CAFCI monitor the ingesting of daily data from associates. Developed the new API, handled the migration of data to the new system (16+ hours) and optimized database queries for historical statistics; which improved average response times on the new system. The new solution is live on CAFCI's website.
