The application has been created for the Canadian oil company Suncor Energy. The main functionalities of the software were monitoring equipment statuses and creating equipment load recommendations in order to prevent damages on the various oil production sites. The application is oriented only for corporation employees. My main role was to carry out the front-end and back-end development of the application. Also, I was communicating with the Team Lead and the client about making various decisions. While working on this project I had fun dealing with real-time messaging tools, such as Apache Kafka and Socket IO.
The software has been built for the gold production company Goldcorp Inc. The application was designed for gold mining specialists in the field of drilling. My main roles were developing front-end parts of the application and intensive collaboration with the team members regarding the working processes and constantly applying code review practice in the project. In this project, I was excited to deal with the complex UI tasks and also solving some performance issues.
The application offers users the possibility to create and manage interactive calculators and converters with extensive support for many units of measurements. Also, it is possible to search for calculators already existing in the service and share them with users of the application. Worked on the front-end and back-end development of the product, also taking part in discussions with the team members regarding new features with solutions that could be implemented in the project, and assisting less experienced colleagues. The interesting parts of the working process were deploying the application to AWS by using the latest technologies, such as Serverless framework, AWS Lambda, etc. and constantly improving existing functionality and coming up with new ideas in order to bring more users to the application.
