Alex is an enthusiastic UI/UX and digital product designer based in London. He has worked for Pulselive, a Sony company, delivering digital solutions for the world’s largest sports federations, leagues, and clubs. For the past 4 years, he has collaborated with different brands, from international corporations to local businesses and start-ups. He has worked on multiple international projects, including World of Rugby, Expedia, WTA Tour, or the University of Worcester.
Acted as Product Designer on a range of large digital projects for some of the biggest names in sports, including World Rugby, LFC, LCFC, WTA, FC Barcelona, and ECB.
Created new experiences for the fans of Rugby, by redesigning the official websites for World Rugby, Rugby World Cup 2021, 2022, and 2023.
Improved the overall experience of LCFC fans by adding new functionality to the website. Collaborated with external stakeholders to ensure products are useful and valuable for clients and users.
The 2021 Rugby World Cup is scheduled to be the ninth Rugby World Cup for women, to be held in New Zealand. Whilst at Pulselive I was tasked with a redesign of the 2021 Rugby World Cup’s (RWC21) website. The main goals of this project were to incorporate their new brand with an updated UI and also improve the overall user experience. Worked closely with the World of Rugby to put a stunning visual interface layer on top of their live event data for a powerful screen experience.
The England and Wales Cricket Board is the governing body of cricket in England and Wales. It was formed on 1 January 1997 as a single governing body to combine the roles formerly fulfilled by the Test and County Cricket Board, the National Cricket Association, and the Cricket Council. The challenge was to improve the user experience for all cricket fans together with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) we designed a product that allows fans to get customized newsletter emails based on their preferences of the sport. Using the interaction system from the existing website, I created a bespoke animation that feels natural and invisible to the user.
The Women’s Tennis Association is the principal organizing body of women’s professional tennis. It governs the WTA Tour which is the worldwide professional tennis tour for women and was founded to create a better future for women’s tennis. At the end of 2020 WTA unveils a comprehensive rebrand including a new logo, marketing campaign, and a redesign of their website. I was tasked to revamp the current website whilst reflecting the new visual update of the new brand.
