Eduardo possesses over 20 years of professional software development background and has the experience and skills to fulfill both programming and data engineering roles. He enjoys building data processing pipelines as well as designing and developing software solutions using Golang, Python, and
DevOps.
Joined the team to improve data engineering processes and automation for Varsity Tutors, a platform that offers private and group tutoring, classes, test prep, and virtual learning for all students and professionals.
Designed APIs, consumed data from APIs, real time data, event-driven, serverless.
Maintained legacy code for the platform, as well as migrated its tools.
Created the system that runs the Predictive Analytics for IBM GBS projects.
Implemented and deployed over 15 different predictive KPIs. Some of these KPIs saved costs over $150MM over 3 years. The project uses machine learning for the predictive indicators.
Managed projects with IBM Research / IBM India / IBM Ireland and IBM US.
This project was a request from IADB (InterAmerican Development Bank). The goal was to register and train small rural producers. The system would take care of the registration, approval, funding and tracking. Once a rural producer registered in the system, the property would be audited. If the property was within the project limits, the rural producer would get a grant to improve the sustainability of its property. Have created the whole system, including the integration with Brazilian bank system to make the payments.
There were about $30MM distributed in grants.
Worked as a CTO / Software Engineer. Built the whole company software development process. At peak there were 25 developers working. Interviewed and trained new developers. Researched and decided which technologies to use. Built the POC and adapt to the use cases. Technologies used in project: C# / SQL Server / Python.
The project is to calculate fees/taxes related to civil construction. The system is designed to describe construction and calculate the taxes/fees to pay if they are not under specification (security). It uses the data to match the laws for construction in Brazil. It generates reports telling what is not following the law and the expected fees to pay. Worked as Tech lead/ Software Engineer. Technologies used in project: PHP/Postgres/JavaScript.
The project was to build a website for an inflation index. This index reflects the civil construction real inflation in Brazil and has been used since the 1980s. Created a system that was flexible to work with past data using a specific process. The system collects data from about 5k Civil Construction companies in Brazil. Worked as the Tech Lead/ Software Engineer. Technologies used in the project: Python/Django/Postgres.
