Google Outside is a pilot scheme that brings search outdoors running across 160 sites in London providing information on local attractions, weather, and travel information. Designed to help Londoners and tourists alike, the screens use the same Google Now technology used in smartphones to provide location-based, real-time information. Collaborated with external companies to integrate data with 160 display panels across London. Built a PoC for users to search with voice recognition. This PoC ultimately determined the client to understand the amount of work and refine features for the application. Met the deadline project of 3 months working in a distributed team in both London and Bucharest. The project was launched in 2013, seen by millions across London.
Provided features and updates for a multinational investment bank. The project was very strict regarding security and accessibility. Developed feature changes for the front-end interface according to the client’s CMS capabilities and requirements. Implemented new modules for multiple pages of the application. All changes were strictly monitored for approval by the client, and implemented modules were WAI-ARIA compliant. The project was successfully launched in 2012. Contributed to the redesign of the entire Turkcell website, working in a team of 6 front-end developers tasked with implementing 150+ responsive design features and wireframes. Transformed visual designs and wireframes into an interactive web application. Optimized the front-end architecture based on requirements from the back-end team. Assisted and collaborated with team members for JavaScript issues and created build scripts. The project was launched in 2014 as a digital reboot for 36 million users. A showcase for the Lumia Phones and operating system created in a responsive SPA with device support. Transformed the visual design into a working SPA using a scalable Node.js back end on Microsoft Azure. Built the front end with Backbone.js, having configurable color schemes and right-to-left text support. Determined and encoded proper web video formats for various devices, creating a compatible video player when the HTML5 video support was poor across devices. The project was launched in 2014.
