SocialWire wants advertisers to hyper-optimize their Facebook ads experience. With SocialWire, brands can get users to organically share a story on Facebook’s Open Graph, and then use Facebook Sponsored Stories to promote that story to its most valuable potential customers. I worked as a Java developer on this project. We were building a recommendation engine for e-commerce, using Hadoop map-reduce and similar technologies (no spark and similar were around at that time). The project was funded $2M after our successful implementation.
