Lucas is a full-stack developer who uses various web-based libraries and frameworks to create innovative, high-quality, and defect-free solutions for clients. He develops scalable consumer-facing web apps by augmenting UI code and delivering highly interactive web interfaces using both front-end and back-end technologies including JavaScript, React.js, HTML5, CSS3, Ember.js, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and Docker. As a former mathematician who found his way into the programming world of web development, Lucas is trained to think analytically, and he also makes strategic decisions that address specific technology design needs in delivering compelling solutions.
- Contributed to UpStack's internal web applications
- Built a component library to simplify development between two portals using the same UI
- Optimized build times by upgrading the package library for the core portal and moving from CRA to Vite
- Interviewed React.js developers to join the Platform Team and assess the successful candidates during their trial period
- Apply my knowledge of front end web technologies to maintain the Garnier webpage and build new modules requested by the client
- Built a Citibank points transfer component as part of Publicis' work to rebuild their webpage
- Using the Ember.js framework, build an internal allocations tool to help Publicis NA manage resources
- For Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance, enhance the Red Lobster website based on Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
Worked on a small web app with a gif-making feature that allows users to start a drawing and pass a link to the work-in-progress to others so they can collaborate on the project. Built the solution using Docker to deploy the backend API and frontend React-Redux component. Utilized and experimented with different technologies on the project.
Developed a website to help the client showcase their work with sewing "patchworks". Built the solution from the ground up using Rails and Docker - implementing portions with Nginx and Turbolinks.
Built and deployed a Jamstack site to showcase the client's art gallery, cafe, AirBnB and event hosting businesses - transforming the previous Wix site into a Next.js solution and implementing all design components on the solution.
