This was a systems engineering project that I designed to help with my girlfriend's master's thesis. Its purpose was to lower the implementation costs of startups, small, and medium organizations in the Dominican Republic by using Open Source software. This was the project that got me deeply interested in automation and process improvement using tech. ADMPNS was a prototype IaaS system that allowed network administrators to create complete and functional virtual network infrastructures in very simple steps. It used a web front-end and survey questionnaires to gather network architecture requirements. It combined SDN and NFV principles to meet its goals.
My role was to research and design a reference architecture and a functional prototype to be presented to a university panel by my girlfriend. Technologies used: Ubuntu Server / MySQL / Nginx / PHP / Docker / Perl / VyOS / HTML / VBoxManage (VirtualBox)
A small non-profit from the Dominican Republic dedicated to facilitating financial support to micro-enterprises wanted to update their website from (old website: https://web.archive.org/web/20160305101019/http://cdd.org.do/). Because one of my personal missions is to help organizations grow, especially those who are dedicated to helping others, I decided to participate and deliver a product that would achieve just that. They needed something simple with a more modern design and responsive. I used HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL to implement the design created using Inkscape and GIMP and provided a full year of support.
The Container Monitor cookbook allows you to deploy a monitoring solution on your Ubuntu Server using Chef. It installs and configures the following services: Icinga2 Icingaweb2 Module Docker MySQL Apache. It also configures two docker containers (Apache and MySQL) on the fly so that you can test the system right away.
This Chef Cookbook aims to automate the instantiation of a Ubuntu Server with Drupal 7 and CiviCRM installed and configured. This Cookbook is intended for Ubuntu 14.04. Since Amazon updated its Ubuntu AMIs to 16.04, some issues have been showing up. I am trying to fix them as time permits.
