Centerpoint Energy is a domestic energy delivery company that includes electric transmission and distribution, natural gas distribution and competitive natural gas sales and services operations. Managed architecture solutions on the Web Rebuild Project, a re-engineering effort to modernize and update Centerpoint’s customer facing web portal using Sharepoint, MVC, and .NET Framework 4.5. Provided prescriptive guidance for exposing disparate elements of the enterprise data layer consisting of DB/2, SQL Server, and web services. Developed design patterns to abstract these systems into one unified layer exposed through web services. Successfully led the offshore implementation team based in India.
Software Developer - Shell Trading
Shell Trading conducts a substantial trading-for-profit business, which includes the buying and selling of crude oil, finished products and feedstocks, as well as trading oil futures. Contributed to the development of the MDNavigator web application using .NET 3.5 and K2 Blackpearl for the workflow components. Designed and built the user interface for the webforms, in addition to creating the workflows for various counterpart requests. Generated K2 smart objects and created interfaces and concrete classes that would allow them to be utilized within the web application. Created stored procedures in the SQL Server that would populate the K2 smart objects. Updated and maintained the ASP Classic web application used internally to write time and generate reports.
Software Architect - Shell Retail
Shell Retail is ranked number one in total gallons sold and in market share in the Unites States with nearly 14,000 branded gas stations. Contributed as an Architect on the “Florence” project with the goal of creating a proof of concept/prototype of a “Business Services Layer” to be hosted in the cloud using Microsoft Azure. Developed a mobile payment functionality, allowing customers to pay at the pump with their smartphone by tapping an NFC tag, using a mix of various technologies including the Android SDK, WCF, the VeriFone Smart Fuel Controller Interface, and Windows Azure. Implemented a Loyalty Points Awarding functionality, which allowed customers to earn redeemable points in exchange for purchasing specific items the business wanted to incentivize. Built a web service, far beyond the initial scope, with the ability to consume loyalty card swipe requests sent by the WinCor point of sale system.

Dell, Inc. is an American multinational information technology corporation that develops, sells and supports computers and related products and services. Contributed to the development of the DellStar Server and DellStar Express solution configuration applications using .NET 3.5, WCF, and Visio components. Implemented the future state validation strategy by utilizing the newly deployed validation service and converted the solution from a local object to a remotely accessible object. Managed communication with the offshore team for solution resolution, performed maintenance tasks and fixed defects.

UPS is a global company with one of the most recognized and admired brands in the world; a leading global provider of specialized transportation and logistics services. Designed, developed, and tested custom frameworks, interfaces, and implementations for WorldShip 14 redesign (to .NET) with a focus on establishing frameworks and patterns for future iterations of WorldShip. Led tasks on the UI Validation framework, allowing for the validation of Goods and Commodity data input by the end user. Developed the XML-driven required fields framework, allowing for the styling of labels of required fields within the view(s). Managed research usage/implementation of legacy/present day UI validation and required fields manager and shipment application framework. Designed algorithm/methodologies to utilize SAF proxies and validate all necessary data and to handle required fields xml and style UI elements appropriately. Implemented design in a loosely coupled, encapsulated, and pluggable manner.
Software Developer - Sava
Sava, one of the largest providers of short-term and long-term health care services in the United States, provides services through skilled nursing facilities across the country. Developed additional features for Sava’s internal web application, SavaCentral using (.NET, SQL Server), their facility-facing resident management software, CareCentral (.NET, WPF, SQLServer), and the various SQL based implementations (stored procedures, SSRS, SSIS, etc.). Redesigned the user interface/XAML, created new dialogs and user controls, extended the business logic, and created and modified SSRS reports for display within the WPF application for CareCentral. Efficiently reviewed and responded to end user feedback.
