Remote Patient Monitor EHR
Designed, architected, and led the implementation of a remote patient monitoring electronic health record (EHR) system. This included a React/Node.js portal for clinical coaches, a React/Node.js patient portal, and a React Native/Node.js iOS and Android application for collecting vitals from patients via Bluetooth integration.
Charter.net Web Application
Developed a multitier Amazon Cloud-based front-end and back-end application for Charter.net's customer support and account management. This application used a microservices design principle to maximize the application's availability across a wide variety of regions with minimal downtime. The front end was a Node.js application, and the back end was developed using Java-based REST APIs.
Code for Vermont CVOEO Mobile App
Worked on the design and development of React Native Expo app for support of the Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO) that utilizes Firebase for back-end functions, database, authentication, and storage and deploys to iOS and Android mobile platforms.
Alexa Integration
Created a previously unavailable feature that connects my personal weather station and Alexa Flash Briefing. The integrated weather forecast for my location is inaccurate when using Alexa with Amazon Echo Dot. This location has a significant microclimate, and getting an accurate forecast is best done through Weather Underground. This is why I developed my own weather station and linked it to Alexa Flash Briefing.
Robotic Arm for Saffron Harvesting
I designed, 3D printed, and implemented a dual-robotic arm system for saffron harvesting. It was based on three parallax processors (one for each arm, plus a central controller) and used a JeVois smart video camera for image recognition and correlation.
IoT Thermometer and Aggregate House Display
Developed an IoT device using an ESP32 and TMP36 digital thermometer to power a home-based dashboard. The ESP32 worked as a server to provide temperature information in real time via a REST API. The dashboard was hosted on a Raspberry Pi device using Grafana and displayed on an Android tablet in kiosk mode—displaying the information on full screen—including inside and outside temperatures, power consumption, solar production, and power status.
Generating Content Using ChatGPT
As artificial intelligence continues to advance at an unprecedented rate, more and more innovative applications are emerging. One particularly exciting development is the use of AI to generate high-quality, relevant content. This is a real-world proof of concept that harnesses the power of OpenAI's language model, ChatGPT, to populate a WordPress site with AI-generated content.
